Itinerary Details

Day 1 Arrival at Leh.

Arrival Leh in the morning our representative will meet, greet, assist and transfer you to Hotel in Leh. Take complete rest for the day for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft. / 3500 mtrs). Overnight at hotel in Leh.

Day 2 Leh - Lamayuru-Uleytoko.

In the morning drive down the Indus valley on a tour of the Lamayuru (approx. 130 kms.) circuit, famous for the dramatically located ancient Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining ‘Moonland’ features. After sightseeing and lunch here, retrace the Leh route till Uleytokpo (60 kms.) and check-in at a fixed camp / resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Uleytoko-Leh.

After breakfast drive towards Leh, enroute visiting the 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh- a UNESCO listed heritage site. Thereafter, visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Arrive at hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Leh-Nubra Valley

After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft.). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area. Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit for dinner and overnight stay in a camp.

Day 5 Nubra Valley-Leh

In the morning visit / explore Deskit , Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later drive back to Leh, reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Arrive hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Leh - Pangong Lake (150 kms.)

Early departure for PangongLake (approx. 145 kms, located on the Indo China Border), via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft). After full day of sightseeing around the Lake check-in at fixed tented camp near the lake at Spangmik or drive back for 30 kms to Tangtse and check into Hotel / Guest House for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 Pangong Tso - Tso Moriri

Drive to Tsomoriri Lake. It is a breathtaking journey on a trail that is literally a ‘no mans’ land. Vast lonely stretches on the Chanthang plateau makes this drive one of the best isolated drives of this tour. Enroute visit the faraway settlement of Chusul. Tsomoriri is situated at an altitude of 4511m above sea level; with an area of about 140 Sq.km. Spend your evening watching shadows of the surrounding mountain and the varying depths of Tsomoriri lake. Stay in tented cottages at Tso Moriri.

Day 8 Tsomoriri-Tsokar-Taglangla-Leh (17582 ft.)-Leh- approx 200 kms) :

After breakfast retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and support many rare wild life species. After sightseeing of the area take the Manali-Leh road to return to Leh, crossing Taglang-la (alt: 17,585ft) en- route. Arrive at hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 Departure Leh

Leave on time for Leh airport to board your flight back home
